What is it to exist when you hate the job you go to everyday, with a boss who treats you like trash, and then coming home to a house you're in debt up to your eyeballs in? The cycle continues day after day, week after week, year after year. Just going through the motions, like a worker bee in a hive or an ant lugging food back to the colony. One agonizing step in front of the other you go shoving food in your mouth and almost spilling coffee on yourself as you rush out the door. "I hope I'm not going to be late again," you say to yourself in the car as you slow down to gridlock traffic.  The topper is that it's only Monday.

This is laughable at best, but for the majority out there this is your work week. You got here because you got comfortable.....complacent.....weak. You allowed others dictate what you make regardless of how little or how much work you put it. And yes, going outside of the normal "work force" field isn't without struggle, failures, and mockery from others. Isn't that something you desire though? Something you crave deep inside from long ago that wants you to become better everyday via happiness.


If you lack happiness in your day to day, you therefore end up having a pessimistic attitude towards everything and everyone in your life. Even when bad shit happens, don't allow it to be the highlight of your day that you need to tell everyone, or be the culprit why "X,Y, or Z" happened. Negativity and pessismism are toxic, a disease that spreads through your brain like wildfire if you allow it. Once negativity sets it, like a weed it will spread and damage everything you come in contact with. Your family, your job, your hobbies, your friends....they will all be affected by your newfound unhappiness with life. You will get in constant fights with your family, do horrible at work, find your hobbies boring, and your friends won't invite you around anymore. It's not them, it's you and your shit fucking attitude.

On the flip side of things, if something bad happens to you first thing in the morning....laugh, yes laugh. Laughter is one of the best cures for negativity, and the best part is it's free. Yeah, your cars battery is dead and you're late to work. It sucks, but that's life sometimes. Yelling at your spouse or frustrated the parts store isn't open yet isn't going to fix anything. You can't change the past, so stop reliving the bad in it every single day. Yes, your wife divorced you...what are you doing to better yourself instead of drowning your sorrows at the end of a cheap bottle of whiskey? Yeah, you got laid off from work but what are you doing to get a revised resume presented to potential jobs? Yeah, you didn't get that PR you wanted. What are you doing to modify your programming so you smash it next cycle?

The negativity can go on and on like an endless abyss of despair and depression, which is why you need to exterminate it with utmost prejudice. You are only as strong as you believe to be, the mind is an often overlooked yet surprisingly powerful tool. You can either allow it to control you, or you instead can take the reigns and therefore control your life. You will ultimately decide whether you want to continue playing the carrier of the Negativity Plague, or destroy it with vengeance....living a happy, full, and desirable life? Only you can make that choice, only you can decide if you want to live your best life every....single.....day.
