Entangled Practical Handgun (EPH) is a collaborative and immersive 2-Day offering between Runenation and Bull Creek Strategic. This seminar will focus on the student become multifaceted in the skills of fluidly blending a handgun within contact distance.
EPH is for anyone that wants to develop a baseline in a weapons based environment. This will be a physical 2-days, but can/will be scaled if the student requires it. The bad guy doesn’t care you’re tired, but we care about giving you the skills to prevail.
The grappling component will be taught by Runenation and the live-fire portion will be taught by Bull Creek Strategic. Students will be split in half and train with Runenation or Bull Creek and swap at lunch time. At the end on Sunday, the entire group will come together for an immersive and pressure-based final evolution with UTM marking cartridges.

-Fundamentals of Vertical Standing Grappling

-In-Fight Weapons Access
Live-Fire Portion will include:
-Gear selection and placement
-Shooting fundamentals
-Clearing cover / concealment
-Alternate shooting positions
-Shooting from cover
-Mindset ( sometimes drawing your firearm isn't the right answer)
-Scenario drills
-Narrow spaces
-Restaurant
-ATM
-Parking lot / dense traffic
-Moving in a crowd
Gear list:
Grappling:
- Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting tugged on
-Thick top for UTM cartridges
-Mouthpiece (optional)
-Groin protection (optional)
-Knife trainer (optional)
-Wrestling shoes or barefoot only when on the mat’s
Live Fire:
-Pistol, Inside the waistband holster, stiff pistol belt, 3 magazines (4 if you have 10 rd magazines), magazine holders, eye protection, ear protection, & 500 rounds of ammunition
Additional equipment should be considered taking into account the season, weather, and personal necessities. Dress appropriately, stay hydrated, and ensure staff is aware of any medical considerations that may impact training. Consumption of food and drink is continuous short of impacting the training cycle. In addition, bring a meal as there will be a 30 minute “working lunch”.
